Duties:
- Give clear and entertaining historical oral presentation of the White Pass
& Yukon Route to passengers using a public address system
- Preparing trains prior to each departure
- Assist with loading/unloading up to 600 passengers in a safe and timely manner
- Directing cruise ship passengers on pier to proper tour location
- Responsible for on-board service program to include: answering questions,
safety announcements and passing out complimentary beverages
- Sell retail items on board
Skills:
- Applicants should be friendly, reliable and enjoy working in a team setting
- Strong public speaking skills – ability to communicate important information
to the public and coworkers
- Customer service skills a must
- Able to lift up to twenty pounds and sell gift items onboard
- Knowledge of Skagway and all tours that combine with the train
- First Aid & CPR certification (company will offer course)

Gift Shop personnel maintain the Depot Gift shop including ringing sales, stocking, cleaning and organizing and back stock.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Receive freight, price and prepare WP&YR souvenir goods for merchandising
- Provide excellent customer service for both direct and phone customers.
- Maintain cash and credit card receipts utilizing computerized point of sale cash register in a fast paced high volume gift store
- Coordinate with stockers to insure products are delivered on site in a timely manner
- Assist Gift Shop Mail Clerk in assembling orders for shipment
- Coordinate with Gift Shop staff and other departments to maintain safety and superior customer service
Provide concise information to guests about WP&YR schedules, history and visitor services

Baristas produce espresso and coffee and related beverages and souvenirs at the espresso bars located in the WP&YR Depot and the Caboose-on-the-Dock espresso and gift stand.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Preparing espresso drinks using semi automatic espresso machines.
- Maintain superior sanitation behind bar and in café seating area
- Provide excellent customer service in very fast pace, high volume coffee bar
- Stock and maintain supplies and retail products
- Maintain cash and credit card receipts utilizing computerized point of sale cash register
- Coordinate with Gift Shop staff and other departments to maintain safety and superior customer service
- Assist Gift Shop staff with daily stocking and sales functions

and the All Aboard magazine
- Replenish mid-day trains in an efficient manner
- In control of water & All Aboard inventory and reorder

- Transport cruise ship guests in a 8 passenger golf cart from the gangway to
tour departure area or end of pier
- Respond to radio requests for transfer of passengers with mobility challenges
- Work with train crew to shuttle passengers to available train cars to expedite
loading

Skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CDL preferred, but not required)
- Safe, considerate and courteous driver
- Strong customer service skills and ability to speak to groups
- Knowledge of Skagway and all tours departing from pier
