2004 White Pass & Yukon Route Calendar
Unveiled
SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White
Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning
24" X 36" wall calendar for 2004.
For the feature image, WP&YR again commissioned renowned
railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created "High Country Inspiration" which
The artwork depicts GE diesels leading a White Pass summit
excursion past Inspiration Point (Milepost 16.9), while lower
in Glacier Valley, Baldwin Steam Engine No.73 heads a special
charter excursion.

said. "J. Craig Thorpe has again captured the steep grade and
ruggedly beautiful terrain which characterize the WP&YR
as the "scenic railway of the world".
