The Future is Green
Two repowered locomotives will do what now takes three existing locomotives to do. The result is a fuel savings of 50 percent per train set and reduced operating costs by minimizing unscheduled repairs and accompanying overtime. The repowered locomotives meet mandatory Environmental Protection Agency emission standards and reduce smoke emissions by more than 90 percent.
